Safe House – clothing

Life Evangelism International went up to BelaBela (1 hour north of Pretoria, South Africa) and handed out babies and children’s hats, booties, blankets and new knitted jerseys for many of the children in a “safe house”.

The children there all came from very extreme backgrounds of physical and/or sexual abuse, orphaned and /or HIV/AIDS positive. It was very sad. This house caters for up to 30 children and babies at a time. The children, when we brought them their gifts all thought Christmas had come, they were sssoooo excited to receive something to call their own. Several of the young girls kept coming up to us all to give us cuddles, they were so grateful to get a gift to call their own and even have their own name written on it!!

I couldn't show you a group photo because of the law in South Africa protecting the childrens faces (childrens rights), but I was allowed to show you this beautiful photo of an HIV/AIDS positive baby wearing her new knitted jersey.
